"Truco de Magia" (meaning "magic trick") explores uncertainty, loss, and hope, drawing on themes I believe are central to Moving Like Pond Water, particularly the slow and transformative process of returning from war. The title plays on the idea that change can sometimes feel sudden or elusive, like a magic trick, even if it’s happening gradually and can't always be perceived—much like the slow, subtle movement of pond water. My composition reflects the emotional shifts and challenges of personal change, highlighting the resilience required to navigate loss and the potential for healing. It suggests that even when change seems imperceptible, transformation and hope can still emerge.
